Principal Claire Peters is a proud alumni of the University of Virginia for both her undergraduate and multiple graduate degrees. She began her career in education at APS in 2001. Claire's favorite part about working in schools is the students' enthusiasm. In her free time, she enjoys reading, puzzling, eating pizza, and spending time with her family.

Kathryn White Mallik is a proud alumni of Virginia Tech (BA Political Science), Marymount University (MEd Elementary Education PK-6), and George Mason University (MEd - Educational Leadership K-12). She began her career in education in 2009 and loves watching students realize that they can do things they never thought possible. As a child, her favorite book was Matilda by Roald Dahl -- have you read it? In her free time, Kathryn enjoys spending time with friends and family, often while feasting on gluten-free pizza or sushi.
