Extended Day

APS hosts an Extended Day childcare program available for the children of working parents.  The morning hours are from 7:00 AM to the start of school; the afternoon hours are from the close of school to 6:00 PM, Monday-Friday.  On Early Release days, children enter when school lets out after 1:00 PM and can stay until 6:00 PM.  For more information, visit https://www.apsva.us/extended-day/ or call the extended day central office at 703-228-6069.

Innovation parents, please notify Extended Day about any daily absences as soon as possible in one of three ways: 

1. Email your child’s classroom teacher and copy Innovation.ExtendedDay@apsva.us as well.
2. Send a written note to your child’s classroom teacher and ask him/her to inform extended day.
3. Enter the absence in your ParentVue account.
4. Call 703-228-2717.
