Also, some kids, even at a young age, sense they are different and can get hurt. So adults need to be able to discuss/intervene in appropriate ways

@Aloe39 @Saffronflowers @jeremyiwhite @KatieKent1988 @PaulEmbery 11 year olds tease each other by calling each other gay. They are already aware even if it’s not discussed formally in the classroom. What about kids w 2 dads or 2 moms? What about teachers with same sex partners? Why is it bad to talk about this w kids, about basic respect?

@KatieKent1988 @PaulEmbery Maybe a kid in that class has two dads or two mums. Why shouldn’t kids learn that there are all different kinds of loving families? That’s part of letting people be themselves.
