Meet the Counselors

Carrie Strohl, School Counselor	Amanda Luong, School Counselor
Mrs. Carrie Strohl is originally from North Carolina and has been with APS for 13 years and in education for 17 years. She has taught second grade, third grade, reading intervention, and a school counselor. She graduated from East Carolina University with an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Reading. She also has a Master’s degrees in School and Agency Counseling, Reading and Literacy, and Gifted Education from East Carolina University. Go Pirates! In her free time, she enjoys taking Orange Theory Fitness classes, cooking, reading, and spending time with her husband and son.	Ms. Amanda Luong was born and raised in Morris County, New Jersey. She is very passionate about working with children and helping them flourish in various facets of their life. Ms. Luong holds a B.A in English/Language Arts, an M.A in School Counseling from Montclair State University, and is a National Certified Counselor (NCC). In her spare time, she enjoys singing, listening to music, playing tennis, practicing, yoga, journaling, exploring new restaurants and traveling!
